Collecting mixtapes from websites like DatPiff and MixtapeMonkey was an incredibly popular way for millions to discover underground music. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been a simple way to download a .zip mixtape and play it on a mobile device. As services like DatPiff and Spinrilla have disappeared, vast archives of music have been lost from the internet. We wanted to create a solution that allows people to easily listen to their .zip mixtapes and preserve these collections, especially as the music industry becomes increasingly hostile toward both artists and fans.
